GETTING TO KNOW SHEPPERTON

Leah Newbould has been a resident of Shepperton for many years. Leah will be showing us some of her favourite walks , often with her bulldogs Tia and Kenny.

In this video, Leah takes a scenic walk alongside the river Ash. The walk sees Leah walk along Gaston Bridge Road, accessing the footpath to the golf club. You can walk all the way along here and come out on Old Charlton Road at the top of Shepperton High Street.

On a nice day, you can add a stop at The Bell Inn located on Old Charlton Road. Dogs are always welcome here.

More households are reassessing space in early 2026. If your home feels tighter than it once did, this spring may offer the right conditions to move up.

The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) suggest something rather unexpected. After years of worsening affordability, the picture has begun to improve. Wages have risen faster than house prices since 2021, nudging the headline affordability ratios in the right direction. On the face of it, that feels like progress.

Rental demand remains resilient in early 2026, but growth has moderated. For landlords, spring is less about reacting and more about refining strategy.

Are you contemplating moving home in Shepperton during the next 9 months? You may be a Shepperton landlord wondering whether you should grow your portfolio or sell off a few properties? Or you're a Shepperton first-time buyer considering if now is the best time to move?
