NETFLIX HEADING TO SHEPPERTON

Permanent base to be setup at Shepperton Studios

Streaming giant, Netflix, has struck a deal to set up a permanent production base at Shepperton Studios, home to films from Alien to Mary Poppins Returns.

The US streaming service has made over 40 productions in the UK including The Crown, Sex Education and Outlaw King.

Paul Golding, CEO of Shepperton Studios parent Pinewood, home to the James Bond and Star Wars franchises, said the deal represented a huge boost to the UK's status as a major destination for film and TV production. "Netflix's decision is a real of confidence in the UK film and TV industry".

There is an interesting statistic in the Shepperton property market that, on the face of it, doesn't seem to make much sense. The average Shepperton home currently takes 64 days to sell, compared with a national average of 75 days.

The opening fortnight can shape your entire sale. As August 2026 approaches, discover how launch price, timing and buyer readiness can turn early attention into a stronger offer.

When people talk about the property market in Shepperton, the conversation normally centres on house prices. Yet price is only part of the story. The size of a home matters too. A £500,000 home in one part of the country may offer significantly more space than a similarly priced home elsewhere.

The rental market is still growing, but the way properties are managed has changed. August is a useful time for landlords to review tenancies, rent processes and record-keeping.
