We found a buyer for our home, be we couldn't find anywhere to buy!

This week we speak to a vendor that agreed a sale on their home, but had great difficulty finding their next home. They ended up buying a property in their favourite road, that wasn't on the market.

Our client instructed us to sell their stunning home whilst they kept an eye on suitable properties to move to. We agreed a sale to a wonderful purchaser who understood our clients position and that they needed to find their next home. Our client searched and searched but there were not many properties coming to the market. They explained to us what they wanted from their next property and their favourite roads & areas.

We have recently celebrated our 10th anniversary at Newboulds & Co, you get to meet lots of clients and potential clients over a decade. We had sold a property a few years ago in our clients favourite road, we caught up with that owner and they had actually considered moving. We set up a viewing and the purchase was agreed.

Property transactions are rarely plain sailing, this chain was no exception. There were many obstacles that had to be cleared.

Read our clients thoughts below:

"We instructed Newboulds to sell our property. We were thoroughly impressed with not only the advice of the local area and the professional service we received throughout, but how David went over and beyond to keep us informed and his assistance with further legal complications we encountered. Had it not been for David’s professional and proactive approach, I am not sure the sale would have proceeded and for this I can only praise and highly recommend David and the Newboulds team."

A good estate agent is a problem solver. When instructing Newboulds & Co to sell or let your home you will only ever deal with a company director/owner. We have the experience to advise you through any obstacle that arises. If you would like us to carry a market appraisal on your home, simply click here to submit details and we will contact you.

As we hit the third week of December, the Shepperton property market does slow down ready for the big day. It’s at this time of year, I like to work out the total value of every home in Shepperton, and how that value has changed since 2010 (as that was the bottom of the market after the Credit Crunch).

Thinking of putting your home on the market soon? If you’re aiming to list within the next 90 days, this guide is for you. Here’s how to sharpen your strategy so you don’t just sell, you get the sale you want.

Thinking of selling soon? Setting the right asking price can make or break your move. Here’s why overvaluing your home, even with the best intentions, can actually reduce its true market value and slow your sale.

If you listened to the doom merchants, you would think first-time buyers (FTB) in Shepperton had no chance at all. According to the loudest voices, buying a first home is impossible, the ladder has been pulled up, and the only people who buy their first homes today are lottery winners or those with wealthy parents.
