We struggled to sell our home and felt we needed a personal approach

This week, we hear from a client that had a wonderful home, but after an unsuccessful marketing campaign with another estate agent they felt they needed a more personal service. Here we find out how Newboulds & Co helped them move.

This stunning property had been on the market with another agent for quite a few months. That agents strategy was to have as many properties on the market as possible. The homeowner had met our sales director, David Long viewing properties and was impressed with the personal service provided and felt that was how they wanted their home marketed.

After a little while, they invited David to provide a market appraisal of their home. Let's find out how it went:

"We sold our flat with Newboulds and could not praise the service enough! David and the team have got such a personal touch that is very often lacking with estate agents. Do not hesitate - sell or buy with Newboulds!!

We were originally on with a different agent, but 6 months later we still hadn’t sold. After viewing a couple of properties with David, we decided it was a no brainier to switch to them. Everything felt so personal, he knew answers to all our questions, he always got back to us with enquiries or to tell us about houses that genuinely matched our requests and we knew he would do the same with buyers for our flat.

A month later, it was sold! What is often a very stressful process ran so much smoother. He continued to keep us updated and liased with solicitors and vendors higher up the chain to get things moving. Now we are happily settled in our new home with huge thanks to David, Barry and the team."

Buying a home can feel easier when you know your budget, priorities and next steps. With mortgage costs still influencing decisions, preparation is one of the biggest advantages buyers have.

When Britain voted to leave the European Union on 23rd June 2016, many predicted the UK housing market was heading for trouble. Then Chancellor, George Osborne, warned house prices could fall by as much as 18%.

More homes are competing for buyer attention, so sellers need more than a hopeful asking price. A smart launch, realistic valuation and strong presentation can help attract serious interest.

Rental growth has eased, but tenants are still searching carefully and landlords need to stay on top of pricing, compliance and property standards as the summer moving season continues.
