The planting programme includes a wide variety of species

Shepperton Studios has taken part in the Queen's Green Canopy initiative by planting four cherry trees, the first of 30,000 trees and shrubs to be planted at the studio over the next two years.

Shepperton Studios planted the trees in the gardens of Littleton House as part of the initiative in honour of the Queen's Jubilee.

Last week saw the celebration of National Tree Week and the cherry trees (Prunus hillieri 'Spire’) planted are the first of over 2,000 trees, plants and shrubs planted across the site over this current season alone.

The planting programme includes a wide variety of species including acer, Scots pine, silver birch and English oak and forms a key part of the studio’s commitment to enhance the local ecology and environment.

The cherry trees were chosen in recognition of Mary Poppins Returns which was shot at the studios in 2018 and is in keeping with the rest of the trees in the gardens of Littleton House.

There is a growing shift taking place in the Shepperton property market, and it is not one that can be ignored. While much of the national conversation focuses on house prices and interest rates, a quieter yet more revealing metric is beginning to stand out, how long properties are taking to sell.

April is the final window for landlords in England to prepare for the first phase of the Renters’ Rights Act. With the new tenancy regime starting on 1 May 2026, now is the time to review paperwork, processes and whether self-management still feels realistic.
