10/10 REVIEW FOR OUR LETTINGS DEPARTMENT

10/10 REVIEW FOR OUR LETTINGS DEPARTMENT

We have just received this wonderful review from one of our landlords

Having Newboulds & Co. fully manage our Shepperton property was the best decision we ever made. Leah and Barry were with us every step of the way with expert, professional guidance finely tuned to fit our needs. We have been extremely happy with all aspects of the process from start to finish. Advice for readying the property was spot on, finding perfect tenants couldn’t have been more efficient, dealing with the formalities was an absolute breeze and any issues associated with the day to day management of the property are always dealt with quickly, transparently, cost-effectively and most importantly to the satisfaction of everyone involved, (especially our tenants). I live overseas and probably wouldn’t have gone down the letting route at all if it wasn’t for Leah & Barry. Now, after a year and a half, they continue to provide solid and consistent service. Top notch. 10 out of 10! Also, I should mention that this review is long overdue. It only took a Global Pandemic for me to finally sit down and write it. 😊

For decades, the flat was the natural starting point for many first-time home buyers. The first rung of the ladder. The affordable option. The stepping stone to something bigger. For landlords, it was a dependable investment. For first-time buyers, it was often the only way in.

The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) suggest something rather unexpected. After years of worsening affordability, the picture has begun to improve. Wages have risen faster than house prices since 2021, nudging the headline affordability ratios in the right direction. On the face of it, that feels like progress.

Over the last few weeks, there has been a growing narrative in the national press suggesting that the housing ladder is becoming increasingly difficult to climb. Much of this centres around the widening gap between smaller and larger homes, with many commentators suggesting that homeowners are becoming “stuck” and unable to move up.
